1. Storing personal information

1.1 Responsibility

Leap Lab AS, represented by the CEO, is responsible for the company’s processing of personal information.

1.2 Personal information which is kept

When you buy a license, will we store the information given in the registration process. This is name, address and email address. When buying a license on behalf of an institution, we will also store the name of the institution, the institution’s organisation number, as well as “Your reference” if given.

When you use our apps, we also keep an anonymised ip address which is linked to your app usage. With anonymised ip address we mean an ip address which is shortened by the last three digits and thus can not be traced back to an individual; if for instance your ip address is 195.195.19.210, we only store 195.195.19.xxx.

Stripe provides the payment solution for the private licenses for our web applications, and by using this, you also accept their terms of use: Stripe Services Agreement and Payment Terms.

1.3 Purpose of information processing

1.3.1 Compliance

We process the information in order to comply with our commitments towards you.

1.3.2 Usage statistics

The purpose with this is for us to see which apps are most (and least) used, so that we can enhance and further develop our app collection. We log which apps are being used, together with your anonymised ip address.

1.4 Foundation of information processing

The information relating to name, address, email address, institution name and organisation number are used to comply with the Purchase Agreement. The foundation of this information processing is Norway’s Privacy Regulation, article 6 (b).

1.5 Information disclosure to third parties

We will not share, sell, transfer or in any other way disclose personal information to others, unless if we are legally obliged to do so.

1.5.1 Payment information

Leap Learning uses Stripe Payments Europe Limited in Ireland as payment receiver (Stripe User) for the purchase of licenses for our web applications. In relation to these purchases some data about the transaction will be transferred to Stripe Payments Europe. These data can be the credit/debet card number, information about bank account, the amount of the purchase, the date of the purchase and payment method. 1.6 Deletion of personal information

Information we have received in conjunction with your purchase, will be stored in our active customer register for 3.5 years. Information that we are obliged to keep to be in line with the book keeping law, will be stored for up to 5 years, according to the law.

1.7 Your rights

We process your personal information in accordance with the Personal Regulation and other valid regulations. You have the right to see and move your own personal information, as well as demand correction or deletion of the information.

You can complain to The Norwegian Data Protection Authority if the information processing violates the information processing rules.

2. Use of cookies and local information storage

2.1 Personal information

No personal information is stored on your device beyond the login information. We store your login information so that you won’t have to sign in for each app.

2.2 App data storage

To give you a better user experience when using our online apps, app data is stored locally. For each app you use, game data and information about the settings you have made will be saved. The game data includes the following:

  • Last played levels

  • How many levels you have completed

  • How many coins you have gained

  • The number of moves you have used to complete each task

  • Last played task per level

This information is only stored in your browser and will not be shared with anyone else, neither with us in Leap Learning.

2.3 Caching apps

We store the apps you play locally on your device so you don’t have to wait for downloads every time you play an app.

2.4 Can I avoid this?

If you do not want us to store any information on your device, you have two choices:

  1. Do not use our website.

  2. Adjust your browser settings.

3. Terms of purchase

3.1 Order confirmation

When you have completed the order, you will receive an order confirmation on email.

3.2 Payment

Private persons pay with credit/debet when completing the order, and the amount will be charged immediately. Institutions and companies will receive an invoice within 1-3 business days.

3.3 No right of withdrawal

Our HTML5 apps are considered as digitalt content which is not delivered on any physical medium. Thus, according to Norway’s Cancellation Act, $22, letter n the customer has no right of withdrawal after purchasing license(s) for our HTML 5 apps.

Norway’s Cancellation Act is only applicable to private persons.

3.4 Complaints

Complaints can be directed to post@leaplearning.no.

3.5 Automatically renewal of licenses

If you tick the license auto renewal box upon purchasing the license, you will be automatically charged for next period when this starts. You can however withdraw your consent for auto renewal of your license at any time.

3.6 Cancellation

You can cancel your license whenever you want. In that case the license will stop working from next period.

3.7 Conflicts

Complaints have to be directed to Leap Learning within reasonable time, preferably by email to post@leaplearning.no. The parties should try to solve eventual disputes themselves. If this fail, the buyer can contact The Consumer Council of Norway for mediation. The Consumer Council of Norway can be reached by phone 23 40 05 00 or at www.forbrukerradet.no.

If mediation does not solve the disputes, they should be solved in Norwegian court, in the judicial district of Asker and Bærum District Court.
